Student Self-Assessment

Getting direct feedback from students about what they understand, where they are struggling, and how they need to improve can be enormously helpful!

Teachers are many things, but they aren’t mind readers. And while they surely appreciate having good data to draw upon, sometimes it’s the acquisition of that information that can be challenging. Student self-evaluations are a great formative assessment tool for eliciting clear and insightful responses about how students are truly feeling about, and engaging with, lesson content.
